NCW Takes Suo Motu Cognizance of Jamui Video Showing Harassment of Teenagers

The National Commission for Women took suo motu cognizance of a viral video from Jamui district depicting the public harassment of two minor Class 10 students.

NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar directed the Bihar Director General of Police to immediately file an FIR regarding the incident.

The commission requested a detailed Action Taken Report while demanding security, legal assistance, counseling for victims, and action to remove the objectionable video.
