The Cabinet Secretariat forwarded letters from election commissioners Sukhbir Sandhu and Vivek Joshi concerning senior DEC Maneesh Garg to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The secretariat noted in an August 4 note that the commissioners wrote in an individual capacity rather than as a formal communication from the Election Commission.
The dispute centered on Garg's decision on July 28 to reallocate work and change the routing of IT department files without consulting the commissioners.
