BJP Demands Minister's Removal Over 'Islam Superior' Remark

Karnataka Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddi sparked a political controversy by calling Islam a 'great religion' compared to others during a mass marriage event in Koppal district.

Opposition leader R Ashoka demanded the minister's resignation or removal from the Cabinet, accusing him of portraying Sanatana Dharma as inferior and insulting Hindu sentiments.

Rayareddi defended his comments by stating he had studied the Quran and advocated for religious discipline, while the BJP threatened that Hindus would view the Congress as 'anti-Hindu' if no action is taken.
