BRICS Declaration Acknowledges Fossil Fuels' Role and Opposes EU Carbon Tax

BRICS member countries formally opposed the European Union's carbon border adjustment mechanism as a unilateral and protectionist trade measure.

The declaration also praised India's International Big Cat Alliance initiative and endorsed guidelines for integrating disaster management early warning data.
