Voting for biennial elections to eight Bihar Legislative Council seats began at 8 a.m. on Friday across 933 polling stations with 5.32 lakh eligible voters.
The election features 150 candidates contesting across four Graduates and four Teachers constituencies, with vote counting scheduled for October 27.
The contest drew attention due to a JD(U) internal rift in the Patna Graduates constituency, where MLA Anant Singh backed Jan Suraaj candidate Anuj Singh against JD(U) nominee Neeraj Kumar.
