Tamil Nadu government revises autorickshaw fares across state

The Tamil Nadu government published a gazette notification revising autorickshaw fares in the Chennai Metropolitan Area and other state regions.

The minimum fare has been fixed at ₹50 for up to 1.8 kilometres, with an additional charge of ₹25 for every subsequent kilometre.

Night travel between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. will cost 1.5 times the regular fare under the updated rules issued under the Motor Vehicles Act.
