Nitish Reddy Clears Fitness Test; Harshit Rana Out of Afghan Series

All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is set to join the Indian squad for the Afghanistan T20I series after passing match-simulation tests at the Centre of Excellence.

The 23-year-old Andhra player, who has been rehabilitating for nearly one and a half months, is expected to depart Bengaluru for New Delhi on Thursday, September 10.

Harshit Rana has been ruled out of the series due to a new injury sustained during rehab, while Washington Sundar is expected to receive medical clearance to play.
