Yemen Announces Offensive Against Houthis As Group Targets Aramco Sites

Yemeni presidential council head Rashad al-Alimi announced a military operation on Sunday to retake all territory held by the Houthis, even as the group encircled Taiz city.

The Houthi advance severed a vital supply route linking Taiz with Aden after heavy fighting, while Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree reported drone and missile strikes on Saudi Aramco sites in Riyadh and Khurais.

The renewed civil war follows recent Houthi gains along the Red Sea coast and comes alongside reported Saudi airstrikes in the northern governorates of al-Jawf and Saada.
