Hundreds of candidates who cleared the 2022 Teacher Eligibility Test staged a demonstration on Tuesday, marching from Salt Lake to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education office.
Protesters demanded immediate recruitment against an estimated 50,000 vacant primary school posts, the release of merit panels, and a definitive recruitment schedule.
Primary Board sources stated that the recruitment process is currently delayed due to pending court cases and unresolved recruitment matters from earlier batches.
