Indian women's football team head coach Crispin Chettri backed his young side despite a 0-4 defeat against Russia in an international friendly match.
Chettri praised the players' character, high pressing, and commitment in dealing with Russia's physical presence during their 25-day training camp.
The Blue Tigresses will play their second friendly against Russia on October 11 as part of preparations for the 2029 AFC Women's Asian Cup.
