
At least 10 people were killed and 62 others injured following two explosions at a military facility storing pyrotechnics in Viacha, Bolivia, on Friday, September 4, 2026.
The blasts occurred approximately 30km from La Paz, damaging dozens of nearby homes and leaving seven people missing, according to local health and police officials.
Deputy Minister of Defence Ernesto Justiniano Urenda confirmed that 50 civilians and six military personnel received medical treatment, while an investigation into the cause of the explosions is ongoing.
