KSEB Receives Approval to Procure 177 MW from NTPC for Three Years

The Kerala State Electricity Board received permission from the State Electricity Regulatory Commission to procure 177 MW of power from NTPC Ltd.

Under the medium-term agreement, KSEB will receive 80 MW from Barh Stage-I and 97 MW from Barh Stage-II stations from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2029.

KSEB stated that the procurement is essential to address severe power shortages during peak hours caused by the failure of the southwest monsoon and rising demand.
