Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda launched JOSH teams under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan on Thursday to conduct household-level outreach for active tuberculosis case finding.

Each squad consists of five NCC cadets and five MY Bharat volunteers operating under a Class-I officer across 55 districts in 11 States and Union Territories.

The government also felicitated 67,933 Panchayats across 697 districts that were declared TB Mukt during 2026.
