The International Criminal Court unsealed arrest warrants for four senior Taliban leaders accused of gender persecution against women and LGBTQI+ individuals since 2021.
The wanted figures include supreme leader Hibatullah Akhundzada, Supreme Court head Abdul Hakim Haqqani, and ministers Habibullah Agha and Neda Mohammad Nadim.
Afghan government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid condemned the decision, stating that Afghanistan does not recognize the court and follows Islamic Sharia rulings.
