World number two Aryna Sabalenka was fined $7,500 by the United States Tennis Association for code violations during the US Open final.
The sanction followed a meltdown where she hit a ball into the crowd, nearly missed a cameraman, and smashed her racquet after losing to Elena Rybakina.
Sabalenka committed 35 unforced errors in the three-set defeat, ending her 99-week reign at the top of the WTA rankings.
