Government agencies and companies worldwide shut down websites on Wednesday after two critical security flaws involving the programming language PHP came to light.
Security firm Wiz estimated that PHP runs about 70 percent of the world's websites, with the NSA warning that the vulnerabilities allow attackers to take over servers without passwords.
Security firms discovered the flaws in August and September using AI models including OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol and Google's Gemini 4 Argon before PHP programmers released a fix.
