Tenerife striker Jesus de Miguel dies following mid-match collision

CD Tenerife striker Jesus de Miguel died on Tuesday following injuries sustained in a mid-match collision with FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono.

The incident occurred near the end of a Spanish second division match that was tied 2-2, resulting in Owono receiving a red card and the match being abandoned.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation postponed Tuesday's matches in the Copa del Rey and Copa de la Reina as a mark of respect.
