State-owned power producer NTPC Ltd terminated the 413.37 crore rupee battery energy storage system contract awarded to GR Infraprojects Ltd for the Mouda Super Thermal Power Station.
NTPC cited the contractor's inability to meet contractual obligations and achieve required project progress after significant delays in critical activities.
NTPC encashed approximately 91 crore rupees from bank guarantees and has re-initiated re-tendering to facilitate early re-award and timely implementation.
