iPhone 18 Pro Production Costs Projected to Rise by 40%

TrendForce reports that the bill of materials for the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to rise by up to 38% compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 17 Pro.

Memory components, including RAM and storage, are projected to account for 42% of the total production cost by the first half of 2027, up from 10% a year ago.

Industry estimates suggest the baseline 256GB model could cost as much as $1,399, though Apple may absorb some costs by reducing its profit margins.
