Eswatini Schools to Reopen as Scheduled on September 9

Principal Secretary Nanikie Mnisi confirmed that schools in Eswatini will reopen for the third term on September 9, 2026, as originally scheduled.

The Ministry of Education dismissed social media rumors regarding a postponement and confirmed that government Free Primary Education grants are being processed.

Security measures have been heightened in the Shiselweni region ahead of the annual Umhlanga Ceremony scheduled to take place this weekend.
