WhatsApp announced new parental control features globally to help parents manage teen accounts, allowing them to adjust privacy settings, monitor contacts, and configure Meta AI experiences.
Parents can control who sees their teenager's profile photo or adds them to groups via a parent-set PIN, and receive notifications when teens join groups or modify profile details.
WhatsApp confirmed that despite parental monitoring, personal messages and calls will remain protected with end-to-end encryption.
