Research published in the Annals of Internal Medicine indicates that consuming two to three cups of tea daily is associated with a 13% lower mortality risk.
The study, which followed 498,043 participants over 11.2 years, found that benefits plateau after three cups, with no additional advantage from higher consumption.
Tea is rich in flavonoids like catechins and theaflavins, which help reduce oxidative stress, inflammation, and blood pressure in the cardiovascular system.
