IIT Delhi Forms 5-Member Panel to Probe Student Suicide

IIT Delhi has established a five-member external committee to investigate the recent suicide of an MSc student, following widespread protests on campus.

The committee is tasked with reviewing the academic and personal support systems at the institute to identify systemic failures that may have contributed to the tragedy.

Students have demanded a thorough inquiry and Rs 1 crore in compensation for the victim's family, citing a recurring pattern of mental health crises at the university.
