The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) approved procurement proposals worth ₹1.10 lakh crore on September 7 to bolster India's military capabilities.
The package includes advanced mine layers, radars, and jammers, with 98% of the equipment mandated to be sourced from the domestic Indian industry.
This acquisition is part of a broader strategy to modernize the armed forces, with future plans including the overhaul of 40 Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jets.
