The Defence Acquisition Council cleared proposals worth ₹1.1 lakh crore on Monday to enhance the operational capabilities of the Indian armed forces.
Approximately 98% of the approved procurements will be sourced from the Indian industry, including Arudhra radars, marine gas turbines, and high mobility vehicles.
The government aims to reach ₹3 lakh crore in annual defence production by 2029-30, building on the ₹1.8 lakh crore achieved during the 2025-26 fiscal year.
