Eight Students Killed in Kerala Highway Crash

Eight people died after their car rammed into a parked lorry on National Highway 66 in Thrissur district shortly after midnight on September 4, 2026.

Seven victims died at the scene while one succumbed in the hospital, with authorities identifying the group as suspected students from PSNA Engineering College in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu.

Local police and fire personnel conducted a rescue operation at Panampikkunnu, where firefighters were required to cut open the mangled vehicle to recover the occupants.
