Early buyers of Apple's $2,000 foldable iPhone Duo have reported inner displays cracking spontaneously near the hinge support and cable opening area.
Repair site iFixit suggested that the failures may stem from the complex internal hinge geometry where a central support bar or curved rails fail to retract properly during closing.
Despite the display issues, affected buyers have received immediate replacements at Apple stores, and the device achieved a repairability score of 5 out of 10.
