India Launches 10-Year RAKSHA Roadmap for Defence Diplomacy

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh unveiled the RAKSHA framework in New Delhi on September 3, 2026, to guide India's defence diplomacy and strategic partnerships over the next decade.

The roadmap aims to boost defence exports, which reached a record ₹38,424 crore in FY 2025-26, by integrating military engagement with foreign policy and industrial cooperation.

India plans to shift from import dependency to co-development and co-production, reinforcing its role as a security partner in the Indo-Pacific through joint training and maritime cooperation.
