India Reaffirms Global Health Security Commitment at UN Meeting

Union Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava addressed the United Nations High-Level Meeting in New York, outlining India's coordinated approach to pandemic prevention.

Srivastava highlighted that India supplied 300 million vaccine doses to nearly 100 countries and medical assistance to over 150 nations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She emphasized that the WHO Pandemic Agreement's credibility depends on a fair Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing system that ensures timely access to vaccines.
