Chinese humanoid robot breaks Usain Bolt's 100m world record

The Tiangong Ultra humanoid robot completed a 100-metre sprint in 9.39 seconds at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, surpassing Usain Bolt's 9.58-second record.

A second robot, Honor's Lightning, also finished under the human record with a time of 9.47 seconds during the preliminary heat held on Saturday.

The event featured 2,056 robots from 666 teams across 16 countries, highlighting rapid advancements in robotics technology within China's strategic industrial sector.
