VFX Entrepreneur Namit Malhotra Backs Ambitious Rs 4,000-Crore Epic 'Ramayana'

Namit Malhotra, founder of a visual effects studio that has contributed to Hollywood films like Avatar and won eight Oscars, is producing the ₹4,000-crore film Ramayana.

At age 18, Malhotra started his career by investing ₹7 lakh in a garage startup with friends, eventually having his father mortgage their family home for a ₹2 crore bank loan to fund the expansion.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the multi-starrer epic featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash is scheduled to hit theatres on November 5.
