India and New Zealand Formally Ratify Free Trade Agreement Set for October 20

India and New Zealand formally ratified their Free Trade Agreement, which will officially enter into force on October 20, 2026.

Under the pact, New Zealand will remove all tariffs on all goods imported from India, while India will eliminate or reduce tariffs on 95% of current imports from New Zealand.

New Zealand Trade and Investment Minister Todd McClay exchanged formal documents with India’s High Commissioner Muanpuii Saiawi in Wellington after local legislation passed earlier this month.
