Thiruvananthapuram to stage theatre production featuring hearing-impaired actors

A Malayalam theatre production titled Oru Kalankitha Kudumba Satkaram will be staged in Thiruvananthapuram on September 25 as part of the International Week of the Deaf.

Directed by Anjana Shajahan, the one-hour play features hearing-impaired students from the National Institute of Speech and Hearing acting in lead roles.

The production utilizes physical theatre, sign language interpretation, and a projected dialog screen to depict chaos during a wedding reception.
