The UAE suspended all trade and financial transactions with Iran on Wednesday after accusing Tehran of launching two ballistic missiles toward its maritime traffic.
The missile incident occurred at 6:52 pm on Tuesday, triggering emergency alerts across the country before the UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed the projectiles fell into the sea.
This economic freeze follows the August 17 expiration of a 60-day diplomatic memorandum, leaving the vital Strait of Hormuz shipping route in a state of unresolved conflict.
