The Central Information Commission recommended that the Union Public Service Commission reinstate the publication of detailed paper-wise marks for selected candidates.

The transparency panel noted that the Department of Personnel and Training lacked official records or policy decisions supporting the 2018 discontinuation of detailed mark disclosures.

The CIC directed the DoPT to provide an RTI applicant with detailed marks obtained by recommended candidates across all General Studies papers, optional subjects and the Personality Test from 2018 to 2023.
