Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev elevated bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during delegation-level talks held at the Kuksaroy Presidential Palace in Tashkent on August 30, 2026.

The two leaders set a bilateral trade target of $5 billion by 2030 and participated in a joint tree-planting ceremony at the Presidential Palace to support sustainability initiatives.
