PTI Files Contempt Petition Over Imran Khan Hospital Transfer

Pakistan's PTI party filed a contempt petition against government officials after authorities sent former PM Imran Khan to a state-run hospital instead of the court-ordered private facility.

A three-judge bench had directed Khan's transfer to Shifa International Hospital on Tuesday, but officials took him to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a brief check-up on Friday.

PTI leaders stated the incident will intensify pressure for a planned nationwide protest on September 27, as the party claims the government breached court orders regarding Khan's medical care.
