Cyclone Murasu: IMD Issues Orange and Yellow Alerts in Telangana

The India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in six Telangana districts and a yellow alert in five districts for November 2 as Cyclone Murasu approaches the Andhra Pradesh coast.

The orange alert applies to Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy, while the cyclone is likely to cross the coast between Nellore and Narsapur on the night of November 2-3 as a severe cyclonic storm.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas are expected to see partly cloudy skies with light to moderate rain, thundershowers with lightning, and gusty winds, alongside maximum and minimum temperatures around 34C and 24C.
