Rahul Gandhi demands immediate rollback of new UPI fee framework

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi demanded an immediate rollback of the government's new UPI framework, which he termed a UPI tax.

The framework introduces a 0.4 per cent merchant discount rate on specified merchant transactions above ₹2,000, capped at ₹300 for amounts of ₹75,000 and above.

Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of surrendering before the United States and imposing a financial burden on every Indian citizen.
