Russia Launches Ballistic Missile Strikes on Kyiv

Russia struck the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv with ballistic missiles at 1:18 am on Thursday, causing fires at non-residential sites according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

The attack occurred shortly after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy returned from the United States, where he secured agreements to manufacture Patriot missiles locally to address critical air defence shortages.

Zelenskyy held talks with President Donald Trump in Washington, DC, as both nations intensified long-range strikes amid stalled diplomatic efforts to end the five-month conflict.
