The Directorate General of Health Services reported three new suspected measles deaths in the 24 hours ending at 8:00am yesterday, pushing the annual death toll to 918.
Total suspected cases nationwide have reached 1,44,780, with 1,002 new suspected infections recorded in the latest reporting period alongside 59 laboratory-confirmed cases.
Health experts attribute the ongoing crisis to gaps in vaccination coverage and inadequate infection control, noting that 1,26,289 patients have been hospitalised since March 15.
