The Rajasthan government placed IPS officer Prashakha Mathur on awaiting posting orders on Saturday amid an Anti-Corruption Bureau inquiry into alleged property purchases by her family.
The action follows the removal of her husband, senior IAS officer Shikhar Agarwal, who faces allegations of misusing his official position to extend undue benefits to a resort company.
The ACB investigation will examine allegations that Agarwal and his family acquired multiple villas at Ananta resorts in Udaipur and Alwar at prices substantially below market rates.
