US President Donald Trump announced a scheduled call with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a suspected plague case at a Siberian research institute.
The case follows the death of an employee at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute of Siberia, though Russian authorities attributed the cause to pneumonia.
The World Health Organization stated that the risk of the case outside Russia remains very low and reported no ties to pandemic levels.
