HDFC Bank Deputy Managing Director Kaizad Bharucha has sought to step down effective December 31, 2026, after serving the institution for over three decades.
The board accepted Bharucha's resignation following meetings on October 16 and 17, and forwarded the request to the RBI for formal approval.
Bharucha was a contender for the CEO position before the RBI recommended Anup Bagchi, following integration changes after the HDFC merger.
