Crop damage caused by wildlife in Kozhikode reached ₹1,35,29,000 between January and August 14, affecting more than 72.42 hectares.
Banana accounted for a major share of the losses, alongside rubber, coconut, arecanut, and nutmeg damaged by animals including wild boars and porcupines.
