Harjinder Kaur Wins Silver in Weightlifting at Commonwealth Games 2026

India's Harjinder Kaur secured a silver medal in the women's 69kg weightlifting event at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Tuesday.

Kaur achieved a total lift of 227kg, consisting of a 101kg snatch and a 126kg clean and jerk, finishing behind Canada's Charlotte Simoneau who set a Games Record of 240kg.

The Indian contingent also saw Gulveer Singh claim silver in the men's 10,000m with a time of 27:49.78s, while boxer Jadumani Singh advanced to the semifinals after a 5-0 victory.
