Indian Railways Registers 6.14% Freight Loading Growth in September 2026

Indian Railways loaded 135.35 million tonnes of freight in September 2026, marking a 6.14% increase compared to September 2025.

Freight revenue for the month grew by 9.3% to increase by ₹1,266 crore over the corresponding period last year, the Railway Board announced.

Cumulative freight loading from April to September 2026 reached 833.7 million tonnes, registering a 4.1% growth over the previous year.
