Bihar Suspends Officer Over Vaishali Boat Tragedy Deaths

Bihar government suspended Raghopur Circle Officer Deepak Kumar following the deaths of 14 children in a boat capsize in Vaishali.

The incident occurred on October 13 when a boat carrying 15-20 people capsized in the Ganga river.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced an ex gratia payment of ₹4 lakh for each deceased child's family.
