Andhra Pradesh Excludes Amaravati Capital Region Villages from Local Body Polls

Sixty-nine villages located within the Amaravati capital region have been excluded from participating in the upcoming local body elections.

The government is formulating a separate governance framework and development strategy for the mega capital city encompassing these areas.

Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana stated that polls in land pooling zones remain pending while infrastructure construction targets proceed.
