Andhra Pradesh releases ₹9.86 crore to upgrade 16 de-addiction centres

The Andhra Pradesh government released ₹9.86 crore to modernize 16 drug de-addiction centres across government hospitals to improve substance abuse treatment.

The funds will be used for building renovations, electrical repairs, and procuring advanced medical devices like breath-testing equipment and multiparameter monitors.

Three regional facilities in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Kadapa will be developed as specialized Centres of Excellence offering comprehensive rehabilitation.
